Rosie

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

We are expecting a new puppy in the Baker family.  Rosie is her name a beautiful fox red labrador.

We still have Sandy our 9 yr. old yellow lab but Rosie will be trained to retrieve and she should enjoy all the lakes and rivers around our area.  We are excited to see her for the first time which should be in a week or so.  Because the fox red color is rare we waited almost a year to get her.

Thanks for dropping by.  visit twitter.com/bakershoe  for our promo codes.

Spring salmon season..

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Spring salmon fishing season is reported to be great this year in Oregon.   Nothing better than a fresh salmon for dinner.  A great way to get outside and enjoy the Oregon rivers this year along the coast on the Umpqua or the Rogue it doesnt matter a fish on the line is always a lot of fun.  See Josh’s blog article about spring salmon fishing this year.  The team at Baker’s.

Hiking in Oregon-

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

If you like hiking in Oregon this spring hiking season is already here for hikers.  Mt. Hood near Portland or the Bachelor ski area provide nice spots for hiking this spring or summer.  Plus the Sierra area in Nevada or Red Wood areas around Shasta are nice.  Or head to Tahoe for some lakeside retreat or hiking.  You can’t go wrong with any of those spots.  But if there are some nice hiking or lake areas around you let us know we would love to hear about them.  Happy hiking trails from the Baker Family.
